Biography

Scott Eastwood began his career by using his mother’s last name to avoid nepotism—although there is another actor named Scott Reeves—but later reportedly recognized the power of the Eastwood surname. “I’ve auditioned for pretty much every one of my father’s movies”, he said in 2015; if rejected (such as for American Sniper), Scott does not hear anything further. “You don’t get a phone call. It’s nothing personal.” He briefly appeared in his father’s 2008 film Gran Torino, and played Joel Stransky in Invictus.

In April 2010, he played the lead role in Enter Nowhere. He had a supporting role in David Ayer’s 2014 film, Fury.

Scott played Luke Collins in the film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ novel of the same name, The Longest Ride, also starring Britt Robertson and released in April 2015.

Scott was cast alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Shailene Woodley in the upcoming biopic film Snowden, directed by Oliver Stone and set for release in May 2016. He will star in Suicide Squad, an adaptation of the DC Comics book, in August 2016. In September 2015, he was cast as one of the leads in Overdrive, an action movie which is scheduled to begin shooting in Paris and Marseilles in January 2016.

In 2015, he appeared in the music video of Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams”.
